Do not understand people playing the race card?

Really angry over guy who has shop near me. He is muslim bloke who I thought was okay to start with. But more I spoke to him the more he started putting Britain down, how the British behave and how Pakistan is a much better country. I laughed this off for while, but then it got annoying. He stated that when he had made enough money he was going to move back to Pakistan. I wa friendly enough with him to ask " Why if you hate Britain so much do you live here? It can't be that bad!" He then accused me of being racist!!! He also doesn't agree with British meat and eats only his special meat..but sells British meat in his shop. When I mentioned this to him, he said he had to make money....great beliefs!! Also he sells mags..isn't that against his beliefs? I am so sick of Britain being slated, but if we ask reasonable questions back we are racist!!! Can any one explain this?? And why is it wrong to name a teddy Mohammed but it's ok to burn our flag in our country.
