Question about Car Theft?

ive heard of some thieves just steeling parts from cars and then they go of and re-sell but usually happens to expensive cars like BMW etc so if you have an really expensive car they probably stole something but if you have a cheaper car like a kia i highly doubt they stole anything because they would earn much less in the resale
