Is this fair? (ESPN Fantasy Football Dillemma)?

A guy in my league was ahead by one point at the end of sunday night. So, to keep the win he took out a player (Roddy White, Falcons) to keep that one point gain and not risk getting negative points with his receiver. It turns out on monday night, the opposing player somehow got ahead of him in points (Brett Favre got some points). So he's asking me to "give" him the win that he should have won. He thinks ESPN glitched or something and gave more points to Brett Favre. Isn't there something that says that scores aren't official until some time? I'm playing in a league where i know everybody and we all chipped in 10 dollars each, the winner gets the money so everybody wants to win. What should i do? I'm against letting him win but we did this in week 1 because we started our league 1 week late so everybody started at week 2 0-0 regardless of how they did in week 1.
