10pts!! Does absence make the hear grow fonder?

Here's the gist of my situation: there's a girl who I like who I'm pretty sure is interested in me as well. She laughs at all my jokes, playfully touches my on the shoulder and chest, I've caught her looking at me a few times and she quickly looks away, etc. . .Any way, ideally I'd ask her out now because I'm pretty sure she'd say yes, but the trick is the school year is coming to an end in 2 weeks and I'm going away for the summer (around 3 months). So, I guess my only real choice is to flirt with her using texts, skype, facebook, etc. . .until next year and ask her out then. I know that each situation and each girl are different, but what's more likely; will flirting and anxiously waiting for next year raise the anticipation and let it work out between us or is it more likely that she simply moves on and starts to like some other guy? In short, does absence make the heart grow fonder or is it out of sight out of mind as far as these things go?
